SNAFU: 2011- 2018
Since 2011 I have been working on a project called “SNAFU” (Situation Normal All Fucked Up). This work examines the American gun culture through five different bodies of work with over 70 pieces: “Every 16 Hours” is about gun violence against women, “Red Guns” focuses on mass shootings in schools, “I Don’t Mind” looks at trophy hunting, “Black Lives Matter”, focuses on gun violence against black men, and “Monkey See Monkey Do” examines the roots of where this all begins.
